1
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:
2
“Son of Adam, set your face toward Yerushalayim, and pour out your word toward the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Yisra’el.
3
And say to the land of Yisra’el: ‘Thus says Yahuah: See, I am against you. And I will draw My sword from its sheath and cut off from you righteous and wicked.
4
Because I will cut off from you righteous and wicked, therefore My sword shall go out from its sheath against all flesh, from south to north.
5
And all flesh shall know that I, Yahuah, have drawn My sword from its sheath. It shall not return again.’
6
And you, son of Adam, groan. With breaking of loins and with bitterness, groan before their eyes.
7
And it shall be, when they say to you: ‘Why are you groaning?’ that you shall say: ‘Because of the report that is coming. And every heart shall melt, and all hands shall become weak, and every ruach shall become faint, and all knees shall run with water. See, it comes, and it shall be,’ declares Adonai Yahuah.”
8
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:
9
“Son of Adam, prophesy and say: ‘Thus says Yahuah: A sword! A sword! Sharpened, and also polished.
10
Sharpened for slaughtering slaughter, polished so that it may flash like lightning. Shall we rejoice? The rod of My son despises every tree.
11
And He has given it to be polished, that it may be grasped in the hand. The sword is sharpened, and it is polished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
12
Cry out and wail, son of Adam, for it is against My people, against all the rulers of Yisra’el. They are delivered over to the sword with My people. Therefore strike upon your thigh.
13
For there is a testing. And what if even the despising rod shall be no more?’ declares Adonai Yahuah.
14
And you, son of Adam, prophesy, and strike hand against hand. And let the sword be doubled, the third time— the sword of the slain. It is the sword of the great slain, surrounding them.
15
That their heart may melt and their stumbling blocks multiply, at all their gates I have appointed the terror of the sword. Ah! It is made to flash, wrapped for slaughter.
16
Gather yourself to the right. Set yourself to the left— wherever your face is appointed.
17
And I also will strike My hand against My hand, and I will cause My wrath to rest. I, Yahuah, have spoken.’”
18
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:
19
“And you, son of Adam, appoint for yourself two ways for the sword of the king of Bavel to come. From one land both shall go out. And make a signpost. At the head of the way to the city make it.
20
Appoint a way for the sword to come to Rabbah of the sons of Ammon, and to Yehudah, to fortified Yerushalayim.
21
For the king of Bavel stands at the mother of the road, at the head of the two ways, to practice divination. He shakes the arrows. He asks the terafim. He looks at the liver.
22
In his right hand is the divination for Yerushalayim: to set battering rams, to open the mouth for slaughter, to lift up the voice with a shout, to set battering rams against the gates, to cast up a siege mound, to build a siege wall.
23
And it shall be to them like a false divination in their eyes, to those who have sworn oaths. But he brings crookedness to remembrance, that they may be seized.
24
Therefore thus says Adonai Yahuah: ‘Because you have caused your crookedness to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered and your sins appear in all your deeds— because you have been remembered, you shall be seized by the hand.’
25
And you, profane wicked ruler of Yisra’el, whose day has come at the time of the crookedness of the end,
26
thus says Adonai Yahuah: ‘Remove the turban, and take off the crown. This shall not remain as it is. Lift up the low, and bring low the high.
27
Ruin, ruin, ruin I will make it. This also shall be no more until he comes whose Judgment it is, and I will give it to him.’
28
And you, son of Adam, prophesy and say: ‘Thus says Adonai Yahuah concerning the sons of Ammon and concerning their reproach.’ And you shall say: ‘A sword! A sword drawn for slaughter, polished to consume, to flash like lightning,
29
while they see for you emptiness and divine for you falsehood, to place you upon the necks of the profane wicked, whose day has come at the time of the crookedness of the end.
30
Return it to its sheath. In the place where you were created, in the land of your origin, I will judge you.
31
And I will pour out My indignation upon you. With the fire of My wrath I will breathe upon you, and give you into the hand of brutal men, craftsmen of destruction.
32
You shall become fuel for the fire. Your blood shall be in the midst of the land. You shall not be remembered, for I, Yahuah, have spoken.’”
