1
And all the congregation of the sons of Yisra’el assembled at Shiloh, and they caused the Tent of Meeting to dwell there. And the land was subdued before their face.
2
And there remained among the sons of Yisra’el seven tribes whose inheritance had not yet been divided to them.
3
And Yehoshua said to the sons of Yisra’el, “How long will you be slack to go in and possess the land that Yahuah, Elohim of your fathers, has given you?
4
Give for yourselves three men from each tribe, and I will send them. And they shall rise and walk through the land and write it according to their inheritance, and they shall come to me.
5
And they shall divide it into seven portions. Yehudah shall stand in his border on the south, and the house of Yosef shall stand in their border on the north.
6
And you shall write the land in seven portions and bring it here to me, and I will cast lots for you here before Yahuah our Elohim.
7
For the Leviim have no portion in your midst, because the kehunah of Yahuah is their inheritance. And Gad, and Reuven, and half the tribe of Menasheh have received their inheritance beyond the Yarden toward the sunrise, which Mosheh, servant of Yahuah, gave them.”
8
And the men rose and went. And Yehoshua commanded those who went to write the land, saying, “Go and walk through the land and write it, and return to me, and here I will cast lots for you before Yahuah in Shiloh.”
9
And the men went and passed through the land and wrote it by cities into seven portions in a sefer, and came to Yehoshua at the camp in Shiloh.
10
And Yehoshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before Yahuah. And there Yehoshua divided the land to the sons of Yisra’el according to their divisions.
11
And the lot of the tribe of the sons of Binyamin came up according to their families. And the border of their lot went out between the sons of Yehudah and the sons of Yosef.
12
And their border on the northern side was from the Yarden, and the border went up to the shoulder of Yericho on the north and went up through the hill country westward, and its limits were at the wilderness of Beit-Aven.
13
And the border passed from there toward Luz, to the southern shoulder of Luz, which is Beit-El. And the border went down to Atrot-Addar, upon the mountain that is south of lower Beit-Choron.
14
And the border turned and went around on the western side toward the south, from the mountain that is before Beit-Choron toward the south, and its limits were at Qiryat-Baal, which is Qiryat-Yearim, a city of the sons of Yehudah. This was the western side.
15
And the southern side was from the end of Qiryat-Yearim, and the border went out westward and went out to the spring of the waters of Neftoach.
16
And the border went down to the end of the mountain that is before the valley of Ben-Hinnom, which is in the valley of Refaim toward the north. And it went down through the valley of Hinnom to the southern shoulder of the Yevusi, and went down to Ein-Rogel.
17
And it was marked northward and went out to Ein-Shemesh, and went out toward Gelilot, which is opposite the ascent of Adummim, and went down to the stone of Bohan son of Reuven.
18
And it passed along to the shoulder opposite the Arabah toward the north, and went down to the Arabah.
19
And the border passed to the northern shoulder of Beit-Choglah, and the limits of the border were at the northern bay of the Salt Sea, at the southern end of the Yarden. This was the southern border.
20
And the Yarden bordered it on the eastern side. This was the inheritance of the sons of Binyamin, according to its borders all around, according to their families.
21
And the cities of the tribe of the sons of Binyamin according to their families were Yericho, and Beit-Choglah, and Emeq-Qetzitz,
22
and Beit-HaAravah, and Tzemarayim, and Beit-El,
23
and HaAvvim, and HaParah, and Ofrat,
24
and Kefar-HaAmmoni, and HaOfni, and Geva: twelve cities with their villages;
25
Givon, and HaRamah, and Be’erot,
26
and HaMitzpeh, and HaKefirah, and HaMotzah,
27
and Reqem, and Yirpe’el, and Taralah,
28
and Tzela, Elef, and the Yevusi, which is Yerushalayim, Giv’at, and Qiryat: fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the sons of Binyamin according to their families.
