15:1
And when those who were in the tents heard, they were astonished at what had happened.
15:2
And trembling and fear fell upon them, and there was not an ish who remained before his companion, but scattering, they fled by every road of the plain and of the hill country.
15:3
And those who had encamped in the mountains around Beit-Uluyah also fled. Then all the sons of Yisra’el, every ish of war among them, rushed out against them.
15:4
And Uzziah sent word to Beit-Mesthaim, and to Beba, and Chobai, and Kola, and throughout all the borders of Yisra’el, telling what had happened and urging all to rush upon their enemies to destroy them.
15:5
And when the sons of Yisra’el heard, they all fell upon them with one accord and struck them as far as Chovah. And likewise those from Yerushalayim and from all the hill country came, for they had been told what had happened in the camp of their enemies. And those in Gil’ad and Galil outflanked them with great slaughter, until they had passed Dammeseq and its borders.
15:6
And the rest who remained in Beit-Uluyah fell upon the camp of Ashshur, plundered it, and became exceedingly rich.
15:7
And the sons of Yisra’el who returned from the slaughter took possession of what remained. And the villages and towns that were in the hill country and in the plain seized much spoil, for there was an exceedingly great abundance.
15:8
Then Yoaqim the great kohen, and the elders of the sons of Yisra’el who dwelt in Yerushalayim, came to see the good things which Yahuah had shown to Yisra’el, and to see Yehudit and speak shalom to her.
15:9
And when they came to her, they all blessed her with one voice and said to her: “You are the exaltation of Yerushalayim. You are the great glory of Yisra’el. You are the great boasting of our nation.
15:10
You have done all these things by your hand. You have done good for Yisra’el, and Elohim has delighted in it. Blessed are you by Yahuah of Hosts forever.” And all the people said: “Amen.”
15:11
And all the people plundered the camp for thirty days. And they gave to Yehudit the tent of Holofernes, and all his silver, and his couches, and his vessels, and all his furniture. And she took them, loaded her mule, prepared her wagons, and placed them upon them.
15:12
Then all the women of Yisra’el ran together to see her, and they blessed her and made a dance among them for her. And she took branches in her hands and gave them to the women who were with her.
15:13
And they crowned themselves with olive branches, she and those who were with her, and she went before all the people in the dance, leading all the women. And every ish of Yisra’el followed in armor, with crowns, and songs upon their lips.
