1
The burden of Mitzrayim. See, Yahuah rides upon a swift cloud and comes to Mitzrayim. And the idols of Mitzrayim tremble before His face, and the heart of Mitzrayim melts within it.
2
“And I will stir up Mitzrayim against Mitzrayim. And they shall fight, ish against his brother, and ish against his companion, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.
3
And the ruach of Mitzrayim shall be emptied in its midst, and I will swallow up its counsel. And they shall seek the idols, and the charmers, and the mediums, and those who know spirits.
4
And I will shut Mitzrayim into the hand of a hard master, and a fierce king shall rule over them,” declares Adonai, Yahuah of Hosts.
5
And the waters shall dry up from the sea, and the river shall become parched and dry.
6
And the rivers shall stink. The channels of Matzor shall become low and dry up. Reed and rush shall wither.
7
The bare places by the river, by the mouth of the river, and every sown field beside the river shall dry up, be driven away, and be no more.
8
And the fishermen shall mourn, and all who cast hooks into the river shall lament, and those spreading nets upon the face of the waters shall languish.
9
And those who work combed flax shall be ashamed, and those weaving white cloth.
10
And her foundations shall be crushed, all who make wages shall be grieved in being.
11
Surely the rulers of Tzoan are fools. The counsel of the wise counselors of Pharaoh has become brutish. How can you say to Pharaoh: “I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings”?
12
Where then are your wise men? Please let them declare to you, and let them know what Yahuah of Hosts has counseled concerning Mitzrayim.
13
The rulers of Tzoan have become foolish. The rulers of Nof are deceived. Those who are the cornerstones of her tribes have caused Mitzrayim to wander.
14
Yahuah has mixed in her midst a ruach of distortion. And they have caused Mitzrayim to wander in all its work, as a drunkard wanders in his vomit.
15
And there shall be no work for Mitzrayim that head or tail, palm branch or reed, may do.
16
In that day Mitzrayim shall be like women. And it shall tremble and fear before the waving of the hand of Yahuah of Hosts, which He waves over it.
17
And the land of Yehudah shall become a terror to Mitzrayim. Everyone to whom it is mentioned shall fear because of the Counsel of Yahuah of Hosts, which He has counseled against it.
18
In that day there shall be five cities in the land of Mitzrayim speaking the language of Kena’an and swearing to Yahuah of Hosts. One shall be called the City of Destruction.
19
In that day there shall be an altar to Yahuah in the midst of the land of Mitzrayim, and a pillar to Yahuah beside its border.
20
And it shall be for a sign and for a witness to Yahuah of Hosts in the land of Mitzrayim. For they shall cry to Yahuah because of oppressors, and He shall send them a savior and a mighty one, and he shall deliver them.
21
And Yahuah shall make Himself known to Mitzrayim, and Mitzrayim shall know Yahuah in that day. And they shall serve with sacrifice and grain offering, and shall vow a vow to Yahuah and fulfill it.
22
And Yahuah shall strike Mitzrayim—striking and healing. And they shall return to Yahuah, and He shall be entreated by them and shall heal them.
23
In that day there shall be a highway from Mitzrayim to Ashshur. And Ashshur shall come into Mitzrayim, and Mitzrayim into Ashshur, and Mitzrayim shall serve with Ashshur.
24
In that day Yisra’el shall be the third with Mitzrayim and with Ashshur, a blessing in the midst of the earth,
25
whom Yahuah of Hosts shall bless, saying: “Blessed is Mitzrayim My people, and Ashshur the work of My hands, and Yisra’el My Inheritance.”
