1
In that day Yahuah, with His hard and great and strong sword, shall visit Livyatan, the fleeing serpent, and Livyatan, the twisting serpent; and He shall slay the sea-monster that is in the sea.
2
In that day: “A vineyard of delight—sing concerning her.
3
I, Yahuah, guard her. Moment by moment I water her. Lest any visit against her, night and day I guard her.
4
Fury is not in Me. Who would set thorn and brier against Me in battle? I would march through them; I would burn them together.
5
Or let him take hold of My strength. Let him make shalom with Me; shalom let him make with Me.”
6
In the coming days Yaaqov shall take root. Yisra’el shall blossom and bud, and they shall fill the face of the world with fruit.
7
Has He struck him as He struck those who struck him? Or was he slain according to the slaughter of those slain by Him?
8
By measure, by sending her away, You contend with her. He removes her with His harsh ruach in the day of the east wind.
9
Therefore by this the crookedness of Yaaqov shall be covered, and this shall be all the fruit of removing his sin: when he makes all the stones of the altar like chalkstones crushed to pieces, and Asherah poles and incense-altars rise no more.
10
For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation abandoned and forsaken like the wilderness. There the calf grazes; there it lies down and consumes its branches.
11
When its boughs are dry, they are broken. Women come and kindle them. For this is not a people of understanding; therefore He who made them does not show them compassion, and He who formed them does not favor them.
12
And it shall come to pass in that day: Yahuah shall thresh from the channel of the River to the wadi of Mitzrayim, and you shall be gathered one by one, sons of Yisra’el.
13
And it shall come to pass in that day: a great shofar shall be sounded. Those perishing in the land of Ashshur shall come, and those cast away in the land of Mitzrayim, and they shall bow themselves to Yahuah upon the holy mountain in Yerushalayim.
