1
Woe to you who destroy, though you were not destroyed; and to you who act treacherously, though they did not act treacherously against you. When you finish destroying, you shall be destroyed. When you cease acting treacherously, they shall act treacherously against you.
2
Yahuah, favor us. We wait for You. Be their arm every morning, indeed, our Salvation in the time of distress.
3
At the sound of the roar, peoples flee. When You lift Yourself, nations scatter.
4
Your plunder is gathered as the caterpillar gathers; as locusts rush, they rush upon it.
5
Yahuah is exalted, for He dwells on high. He fills Tziyon with Judgment and Righteousness.
6
And He shall be the stability of your times: a wealth of Salvation, Wisdom, and Knowledge. The fear of Yahuah is his treasure.
7
See, their mighty ones cry outside; messengers of shalom weep bitterly.
8
The highways are desolate; the traveler has ceased. He has broken Covenant, despised cities, and regarded no Adam.
9
The land mourns and languishes. Levanon is ashamed and withers. Sharon is like the desert. Bashan and Karmel shake off their leaves.
10
“Now I shall rise,” says Yahuah. “Now I shall be exalted. Now I shall lift Myself.
11
You conceive dry grass; you give birth to stubble. Your own ruach is a fire that consumes you.
12
And the peoples shall become burnings of lime, thorns cut down and kindled with fire.”
13
Hear, you who are far away, what I have done; and you who are near, know My might.
14
The sinners in Tziyon are afraid. Trembling has seized the corrupt: “Who among us can dwell with consuming fire? Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?”
15
The one walking in Righteousness and speaking uprightly; the one rejecting gain from oppression, shaking his hands from holding a bribe; stopping his ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shutting his eyes from seeing evil.
16
He shall dwell on high. Fortresses of rock shall be his stronghold. His bread shall be given; his waters shall be faithful.
17
Your eyes shall see the King in His beauty; they shall behold a land stretching far.
18
Your heart shall meditate on terror: “Where is the recorder? Where is the one weighing? Where is the one recording the towers?”
19
You shall no longer see the fierce people, a people of speech too deep to hear, of a stammering tongue with no understanding.
20
Behold Tziyon, city of our appointed gathering. Your eyes shall see Yerushalayim, a tranquil habitation, a tent that shall not be moved. Its stakes shall never be pulled up, nor shall any of its cords be torn.
21
But there the Majestic One, Yahuah, shall be for us a place of broad rivers and streams. No galley with oars shall go upon it, nor shall a majestic ship pass through it.
22
For Yahuah is our Judge. Yahuah is our Lawgiver. Yahuah is our King. He shall save us.
23
Your ropes hang loose; they cannot hold the base of their mast nor spread the sail. Then the plunder of abundant spoil is divided; even the lame take plunder.
24
And no inhabitant shall say, “I am sick.” The people dwelling in it are those whose crookedness is lifted away.
