1
“Call with the throat; do not hold back. Lift your voice like a shofar. Declare to My people their transgression and to the House of Yaaqov their sins.
2
Yet day by day they seek Me and delight to know My ways, like a nation that did Righteousness and did not forsake the Judgment of its Elohim. They ask Me for righteous Judgments; they delight in drawing near to Elohim.
3
‘Why have we fasted and You did not see? Why have we afflicted our being and You did not know?’ See, in the day of your fast you find your desire and press all your laborers.
4
See, you fast for dispute and strife and to strike with a wicked fist. You do not fast this day to cause your voice to be heard on high.
5
Is such the fast I choose— a day for Adam to afflict his being? Is it to bend his head like a reed and spread sackcloth and ashes beneath him? Shall you call this a fast and a day desired by Yahuah?
6
Is not this the fast I choose: to open the bonds of wickedness, loosen the cords of the yoke, send the crushed away free, and break every yoke?
7
Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry, bring the afflicted wanderers into the House; when you see the naked, cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?
8
Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring quickly. Your Righteousness shall walk before your face; the glory of Yahuah shall be your rear guard.
9
Then you shall call, and Yahuah shall answer. You shall cry, and He shall say, ‘Here I am.’ If you remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking crookedness;
10
and if you pour out your being for the hungry and satisfy the afflicted being, then your light shall rise in darkness and your gloom become like midday.
11
And Yahuah shall guide you continually, satisfy your being in scorched places, and strengthen your bones. You shall become like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters do not deceive.
12
Those from you shall build the ancient ruins. You shall raise the foundations of generation and generation. You shall be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths for Dwelling.
13
If you turn your foot away from Shabbat, from doing your desire on My holy day, and call Shabbat a delight, the holy day of Yahuah honored; and honor it, not doing your own ways, not finding your own desire or speaking your own word,
14
then you shall delight yourself in Yahuah. I shall cause you to ride upon the heights of the earth and feed you with the Inheritance of Yaaqov your father, for the Mouth of Yahuah has spoken.”
