1
Who is this coming from Edom, with crimsoned garments from Botzrah; this One majestic in His clothing, bending in the greatness of His strength? “I, speaking in Righteousness, mighty to save.”
2
Why is Your clothing red, and Your garments like one treading in the winepress?
3
“I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no ish was with Me. I trod them in My fury and trampled them in My wrath. Their enduring juice spattered upon My garments, and I stained all My clothing.
4
For the day of vengeance was in My heart, and the year of My redeemed had come.
5
I looked, but there was no helper; and I was astonished, but there was no supporter. Therefore My own arm brought Salvation for Me, and My fury supported Me.
6
I trampled peoples in My fury; I made them drunk in My wrath, and brought their enduring juice down to the earth.”
7
I shall remember the covenant-favors of Yahuah, the praises of Yahuah, according to all that Yahuah has bestowed upon us, and the abundant goodness toward the House of Yisra’el, which He bestowed upon them according to His compassion and according to the abundance of His covenant-favors.
8
For He said, “Surely they are My people, sons who shall not deal falsely.” And He became their Savior.
9
In all their distress, He was distressed, and the Messenger of His Face saved them. In His love and in His compassion He redeemed them; He lifted them and carried them all the days of ancient time.
10
But they rebelled and grieved His Holy ruach. Then He turned against them as an enemy; He Himself fought against them.
11
Then His people remembered the days of ancient time, Mosheh and his people: “Where is He who brought them up from the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy ruach within him,
12
who caused His glorious arm to walk at the right hand of Mosheh, dividing the waters before their face to make for Himself an everlasting Name;
13
who caused them to walk through the depths like a horse in the wilderness, so that they did not stumble?”
14
Like a beast descending into a valley, the ruach of Yahuah gave them rest. So You led Your people to make for Yourself a glorious Name.
15
Look from the heavens and see from Your set-apart and glorious dwelling. Where are Your zeal and Your mighty acts, the stirring of Your inward parts and Your compassion toward me? They are restrained.
16
For You are our Father, though Avraham does not know us and Yisra’el does not recognize us. You, Yahuah, are our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting is Your Name.
17
Why, Yahuah, do You cause us to wander from Your ways and harden our heart from fearing You? Return for the sake of Your servants, the tribes of Your Inheritance.
18
For a little while Your set-apart people possessed it; our adversaries have trampled Your Set-Apart Place.
19
We have become as those over whom You never ruled, as those upon whom Your Name was never called.
