And it came to be when Yirmeyahu completed speaking to all the people all the Words of Yahuah their Elohim with which Yahuah their Elohim had sent him to them— all these Words—

that Azaryahu son of Hoshayahu, Yochanan son of Qareach, and all the proud men spoke to Yirmeyahu, saying, “You speak falsehood. Yahuah our Elohim did not send you to say, ‘Do not enter Mitzrayim to dwell there as foreigners.’
3
But Barukh son of Neriyahu incites you against us in order to give us into the hand of the Kasdim, to put us to death and to exile us to Bavel.”
4
So Yochanan son of Qareach, all the captains of the armies, and all the people did not hear the voice of Yahuah to dwell in the land of Yehudah.
5
And Yochanan son of Qareach and all the captains of the armies took all the remnant of Yehudah who had returned from all the nations to which they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Yehudah—
6
men, women, children, the daughters of the sovereign, and every being whom Nevuzaradan chief of the guards had caused to remain with Gedalyahu son of Achiqam son of Shaphan, with Yirmeyahu the prophet and Barukh son of Neriyahu.

And they entered the land of Mitzrayim, for they did not hear the voice of Yahuah. And they came as far as Tachpanches.

And the Word of Yahuah came to Yirmeyahu in Tachpanches, saying,

“Take great stones in your hand and hide them in the mortar in the brick pavement at the entrance of the house of Pharaoh in Tachpanches, before the eyes of the ish of Yehudah.
10
And say to them, ‘Thus says Yahuah of Hosts, Elohim of Yisra’el: See, I am sending and taking Nevukhadretztzar sovereign of Bavel, My servant. I shall place his throne over these stones that I hid, and he shall stretch his canopy over them.
11
And he shall come and strike the land of Mitzrayim— those for death, to death; those for captivity, to captivity; and those for the sword, to the sword.
12
And I shall kindle fire in the houses of the elohim of Mitzrayim. He shall burn them and take them captive. And he shall wrap the land of Mitzrayim as the shepherd wraps his garment, and he shall go out from there in shalom.
13
And he shall break the pillars of Beyt-Shemesh that are in the land of Mitzrayim, and the houses of the elohim of Mitzrayim he shall burn with fire.’”
