1
And Mosheh answered and said, “But see, they will not believe me, and they will not listen to my voice, for they will say, ‘Yahuah did not appear to you.’”
2
And Yahuah said to him, “What is this in your hand?” And he said, “A staff.”
3
And He said, “Cast it toward the earth.” And he cast it toward the earth, and it became a serpent; and Mosheh fled from before it.
4
And Yahuah said to Mosheh, “Stretch out your hand and take hold of its tail.” And he stretched out his hand and seized it, and it became a staff in his hand.
5
“So that they may believe that Yahuah, Elohim of their fathers, Elohim of Avraham, Elohim of Yitzchaq, and Elohim of Yaaqov, appeared to you.”
6
And Yahuah said further to him, “Please bring your hand into your bosom.” And he brought his hand into his bosom, and when he brought it out, see: his hand was afflicted like snow.
7
And He said, “Return your hand to your bosom.” And he returned his hand to his bosom, and when he brought it out from his bosom, see: it had returned like his flesh.
8
“And it shall be, if they do not believe you and do not listen to the voice of the first sign, then they shall believe the voice of the latter sign.
9
And it shall be, if they do not believe even these two signs and do not listen to your voice, then take from the waters of the River and pour it upon the dry ground. And the water that you take from the River shall become blood upon the dry ground.”
10
And Mosheh said to Yahuah, “Please, Adonai, I am not an ish of words, neither from yesterday nor from before, nor even since You have spoken to Your servant, for I am heavy of mouth and heavy of tongue.”
11
And Yahuah said to him, “Who set a mouth for Adam? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, Yahuah?
12
And now go, and I will be with your mouth, and I will teach you what you shall speak.”
13
And he said, “Please, Adonai, send by the hand of whomever You will send.”
14
And the anger of Yahuah burned against Mosheh, and He said, “Is there not Aharon your brother, the Levi? I know that speaking, he can speak. And also, see: he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will rejoice in his heart.
15
And you shall speak to him and place the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do.
16
And he shall speak for you to the people, and it shall be: he shall be to you as a mouth, and you shall be to him as Elohim.
17
And you shall take this staff in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.”
18
And Mosheh went and returned to Yitro his father-in-law and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Mitzrayim, and see whether they are still alive.” And Yitro said to Mosheh, “Go in peace.”
19
And Yahuah said to Mosheh in Midyan, “Go, return to Mitzrayim, for all the men who sought your life are dead.”
20
And Mosheh took his ishah and his sons and caused them to ride upon the donkey, and returned toward the land of Mitzrayim. And Mosheh took the staff of Elohim in his hand.
21
And Yahuah said to Mosheh, “When you go to return to Mitzrayim, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders that I have placed in your hand. But I will strengthen his heart, and he will not send the people away.
22
And you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says Yahuah: Yisra’el is My son, My firstborn.
23
And I say to you: Send My son away, that he may serve Me. But if you refuse to send him away, see: I will put your son, your firstborn, to death.’”
24
And it came to pass on the way, at the lodging place, that Yahuah met him and sought to put him to death.
25
And Tzipporah took a flint and cut the foreskin of her son, and touched it to his feet, and said, “Surely a bridegroom of blood you are to me.”
26
And He withdrew from him. Then she said, “A bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.
27
And Yahuah said to Aharon, “Go into the wilderness to meet Mosheh.” And he went and met him at the mountain of Elohim, and kissed him.
28
And Mosheh told Aharon all the words of Yahuah with which He had sent him, and all the signs that He had commanded him.
29
And Mosheh and Aharon went and gathered all the elders of the sons of Yisra’el.
30
And Aharon spoke all the words that Yahuah had spoken to Mosheh, and he did the signs before the eyes of the people.
31
And the people believed. And they heard that Yahuah had visited the sons of Yisra’el, and that He had seen their affliction. And they bowed their heads and bowed themselves.
