1
But the Spirit says explicitly that in later times some will depart from the faithfulness, paying attention to deceiving spirits and teachings of powers,
2
through the hypocrisy of liars whose own conscience has been seared,
3
who forbid marriage and command abstinence from foods that Elohim created to be received with thanksgiving by those who are faithful and know the truth.
4

5

6

7

8

9
This saying is trustworthy and worthy of full acceptance.
10

11
Command and teach these things.
12
Let no one despise your youth. Instead, become a pattern for the faithful in speech, conduct, love, faithfulness, and purity.
13
Until I come, attend to public reading, exhortation, and teaching.
14
Do not neglect the gift within you, which was given to you through prophecy with the laying on of hands by the council of elders.
15
Practice these things. Be wholly within them, so that your progress may be evident to everyone.
16
Pay close attention to yourself and to the teaching. Continue in them, for by doing this you will preserve both yourself and those who hear you.
