1
You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Yahushua the Anointed.
2
And the things you heard from me through many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who shall be competent to teach others also.
3
Share in suffering as a good soldier of Yahushua the Anointed.
4
No one serving as a soldier entangles himself in the affairs of ordinary life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him.
5
And if anyone competes in an athletic contest, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
6
The laboring farmer must be the first to partake of the fruit.
7
Consider what I am saying, for the Master shall give you understanding in all things.
8
Remember Yahushua the Anointed, raised from the dead, from the Seed of Daviyd, according to my besorah,
9
for which I suffer hardship even to chains as an evildoer. But the Word of Elohim has not been bound.
10
Because of this I endure all things for the sake of the chosen, so that they also may obtain the deliverance that is in Yahushua the Anointed with everlasting glory.
11
The word is trustworthy: “If we died with him, we shall also live with him.
12
If we endure, we shall also reign with him. If we deny him, he shall also deny us.
13
If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he is not able to deny himself.”
14
Remind them of these things, charging them before Elohim not to fight over words, which profits nothing and brings ruin upon those hearing.
15
Be diligent to present yourself approved before Elohim, a worker having no cause for shame, cutting straight the Word of Truth.
16
But avoid profane, empty talk, for those engaging in it shall advance further into wickedness,
17
and their word shall spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaios and Philetos,
18
who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened, and they overturn the trust of some.
19
Nevertheless, the firm foundation of Elohim stands, having this seal: “Yahuah knows those who are His,” and: “Let everyone who names the Name of Yahuah turn away from unrighteousness.”
20
Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.
21
Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he shall be a vessel for honor, set apart, useful to the master, prepared for every good work.
22
Flee the desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, trust, love, and shalom with those who call upon Yahuah from a clean heart.
23
But refuse foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they produce conflicts.
24
And a servant of Yahuah must not fight, but must be gentle toward everyone, competent to teach, patient under wrong,
25
correcting with gentleness those who oppose, in case Elohim may grant them repentance toward recognition of the truth,
26
and they may return to sober understanding, escaping from the snare of the adversary, having been captured by him to do his will.
