Book 6 — Chapter 7 - The Writer Yehudah
Book VI is dominated by Origen and the intellectual life of Alexandria and Caesarea, then the persecutions under Severus, Maximinus, and Decius, with Dionysius of Alexandria becoming a principal witness. Eusebius leans heavily on Yosephus or inherited chronological records, preserving concrete reports while interpreting them through his own conviction that catastrophe and covenantal history were connected. In this reconstruction the chapter coordinate is preserved as Book 6, Chapter 7, and the full subject is retained under the heading 'The Writer Yehudah'. Names, dates, quoted-source relationships, and political or textual function are kept distinct from Eusebius's own interpretive claims.
