Book 7 — Chapter 25 - The Apocalypse of Yochanan
Book VII follows Dionysius of Alexandria through disputes over washing converts, Valerian's persecution, Gallienus's peace, the Apocalypse debate, Paulos of Samosata, and the emergence of the Manichaean movement. Eusebius's library work is central here. He names books, quotations, disputed writings, teachers, and chains of reception, often preserving information about works that later disappeared. In this reconstruction the chapter coordinate is preserved as Book 7, Chapter 25, and the full subject is retained under the heading 'The Apocalypse of Yochanan'. Names, dates, quoted-source relationships, and political or textual function are kept distinct from Eusebius's own interpretive claims.
