Book 8 — Chapter 7 - Egyptians in Phoenicia
Book VIII is Eusebius's eyewitness generation: the Great Persecution, destruction of meeting houses, imprisonment, torture, martyrdom, political reversals, and the first imperial revocation. The chapter advances Eusebius's chronological chain by identifying the people, writings, disputes, and public events that connect one generation of the assemblies to the next. In this reconstruction the chapter coordinate is preserved as Book 8, Chapter 7, and the full subject is retained under the heading 'Egyptians in Phoenicia'. Names, dates, quoted-source relationships, and political or textual function are kept distinct from Eusebius's own interpretive claims.
