Book 8 — Chapter 11 - Those in Phrygia
Book VIII is Eusebius's eyewitness generation: the Great Persecution, destruction of meeting houses, imprisonment, torture, martyrdom, political reversals, and the first imperial revocation. Eusebius presents the movement polemically as deviation from the teaching he regards as received. HaSefarim preserves his accusation as Eusebius's report and keeps separate the historical fact that competing early communities often described one another through adversarial labels. In this reconstruction the chapter coordinate is preserved as Book 8, Chapter 11, and the full subject is retained under the heading 'Those in Phrygia'. Names, dates, quoted-source relationships, and political or textual function are kept distinct from Eusebius's own interpretive claims.
