Book 10 — Chapter 1 - The Peace Granted after the Persecution
Book X celebrates restoration after persecution, records imperial laws and privileges, and closes with Constantine's victory and Eusebius's providential interpretation of the new imperial order. The chapter records coercion under Roman or local authority: arrest, interrogation, confiscation, exile, torture, execution, or public pressure. Eusebius praises endurance but also records those who yielded, fled, or were later restored. In this reconstruction the chapter coordinate is preserved as Book 10, Chapter 1, and the full subject is retained under the heading 'The Peace Granted after the Persecution'. Names, dates, quoted-source relationships, and political or textual function are kept distinct from Eusebius's own interpretive claims.
