1
And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh, saying,
2
“Speak to the sons of Yisra’el, saying: If a being sins unintentionally against any of the commandments of Yahuah concerning things that should not be done, and does one of them—
3
if the anointed kohen sins so as to bring guilt upon the people, then for the sin that he has sinned he shall bring to Yahuah a young bull, whole, as a sin offering.
4
And he shall bring the bull to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting before Yahuah, and lay his hand upon the head of the bull, and slaughter the bull before Yahuah.
5
And the anointed kohen shall take from the blood of the bull and bring it into the Tent of Meeting.
6
And the kohen shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle from the blood seven times before Yahuah, before the veil of the Holy Place.
7
And the kohen shall place some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of fragrant incense before Yahuah, which is in the Tent of Meeting; and all the remaining blood of the bull he shall pour out at the base of the altar of ascending offering, which is at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.
8
And all the fat of the bull of the sin offering he shall lift from it: the fat that covers the inward parts, and all the fat that is upon the inward parts,
9
and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is upon the loins, and the lobe upon the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys,
10
just as it is lifted from the ox of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And the kohen shall burn them upon the altar of ascending offering.
11
But the skin of the bull, and all its flesh, with its head and with its legs, and its inward parts, and its dung—
12
all the bull he shall bring out to the outside of the camp, to a clean place where the ashes are poured out, and burn it upon wood with fire. Upon the place where the ashes are poured out, it shall be burned.
13
And if the whole congregation of Yisra’el sins unintentionally, and the matter is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done one from all the commandments of Yahuah that should not be done, and have become guilty,
14
when the sin by which they sinned becomes known, then the assembly shall bring a young bull as a sin offering and bring it before the Tent of Meeting.
15
And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands upon the head of the bull before Yahuah, and the bull shall be slaughtered before Yahuah.
16
And the anointed kohen shall bring from the blood of the bull into the Tent of Meeting.
17
And the kohen shall dip his finger from the blood and sprinkle seven times before Yahuah, before the veil.
18
And he shall place some of the blood upon the horns of the altar that is before Yahuah, which is in the Tent of Meeting, and all the remaining blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of ascending offering, which is at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.
19
And all its fat he shall lift from it and burn upon the altar.
20
And he shall do with the bull as he did with the bull of the sin offering; thus he shall do with it. And the kohen shall make atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven them.
21
And he shall bring the bull outside the camp and burn it as he burned the first bull. It is the sin offering of the assembly.
22
When a ruler sins and does unintentionally one from all the commandments of Yahuah his Elohim that should not be done, and becomes guilty,
23
or his sin by which he sinned is made known to him, then he shall bring as his offering a male goat, whole.
24
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat and slaughter it in the place where the ascending offering is slaughtered before Yahuah. It is a sin offering.
25
And the kohen shall take from the blood of the sin offering with his finger and place it upon the horns of the altar of ascending offering, and its remaining blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of ascending offering.
26
And all its fat he shall burn upon the altar, like the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And the kohen shall make atonement for him concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.
27
And if one being from the people of the land sins unintentionally by doing one from the commandments of Yahuah that should not be done, and becomes guilty,
28
or his sin that he sinned is made known to him, then he shall bring as his offering a female goat, whole, for his sin that he sinned.
29
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering and slaughter the sin offering in the place of the ascending offering.
30
And the kohen shall take from its blood with his finger and place it upon the horns of the altar of ascending offering, and all its remaining blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.
31
And all its fat he shall remove, just as the fat was removed from the sacrifice of peace offerings. And the kohen shall burn it upon the altar as a pleasing aroma to Yahuah. And the kohen shall make atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.
32
And if he brings a lamb as his offering for a sin offering, he shall bring a female, whole.
33
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering and slaughter it as a sin offering in the place where the ascending offering is slaughtered.
34
And the kohen shall take from the blood of the sin offering with his finger and place it upon the horns of the altar of ascending offering, and all its remaining blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.
35
And all its fat he shall remove, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of peace offerings, and the kohen shall burn them upon the altar upon the offerings by fire to Yahuah. And the kohen shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.
