1
And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh, saying,
2
“This shall be the Torah of the one with tzara’at on the day of his cleansing: he shall be brought to the kohen.
3
And the kohen shall go out to the outside of the camp, and the kohen shall see, and see: if the plague of tzara’at is healed in the one with the plague,
4
then the kohen shall command that there be taken for the one being cleansed two living clean birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.
5
And the kohen shall command that one bird be slaughtered in an earthen vessel over living water.
6
As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was slaughtered over the living water.
7
And he shall sprinkle upon the one being cleansed from the tzara’at seven times, and declare him clean, and shall send the living bird away over the face of the field.
8
And the one being cleansed shall wash his garments, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, and he shall be clean. And afterward he may come into the camp, but he shall dwell outside his tent seven days.
9
And it shall be on the seventh day that he shall shave all his hair from his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows—indeed, all his hair he shall shave. And he shall wash his garments and wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
10
And on the eighth day he shall take two whole male lambs and one whole female lamb, a daughter of a year, and three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and one log of oil.
11
And the kohen who cleanses him shall cause the ish being cleansed and these things to stand before Yahuah, at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.
12
And the kohen shall take the one male lamb and bring it near as a guilt offering, with the log of oil, and wave them as a wave offering before Yahuah.
13
And he shall slaughter the male lamb in the place where the sin offering and the ascending offering are slaughtered, in the Holy Place. For as the sin offering belongs to the kohen, so also the guilt offering. It is most holy.
14
And the kohen shall take from the blood of the guilt offering, and the kohen shall place it upon the lobe of the right ear of the one being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
15
And the kohen shall take from the log of oil and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.
16
And the kohen shall dip his right finger into the oil that is in his left palm, and sprinkle from the oil with his finger seven times before Yahuah.
17
And from the remainder of the oil that is in his palm, the kohen shall place upon the lobe of the right ear of the one being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the guilt offering.
18
And what remains from the oil that is in the palm of the kohen he shall place upon the head of the one being cleansed. And the kohen shall make atonement for him before Yahuah.
19
And the kohen shall prepare the sin offering and make atonement for the one being cleansed from his uncleanness. And afterward he shall slaughter the ascending offering.
20
And the kohen shall bring up the ascending offering and the grain offering upon the altar. And the kohen shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
21
But if he is poor and his hand cannot reach enough, then he shall take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and a log of oil,
22
and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, according to what his hand can reach: one shall be a sin offering and the other an ascending offering.
23
And on the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the kohen, to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting before Yahuah.
24
And the kohen shall take the male lamb of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the kohen shall wave them as a wave offering before Yahuah.
25
And he shall slaughter the male lamb of the guilt offering, and the kohen shall take from the blood of the guilt offering and place it upon the lobe of the right ear of the one being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
26
And the kohen shall pour from the oil into the palm of his own left hand.
27
And the kohen shall sprinkle with his right finger from the oil that is in his left palm seven times before Yahuah.
28
And the kohen shall place from the oil that is in his palm upon the lobe of the right ear of the one being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the guilt offering.
29
And what remains from the oil that is in the palm of the kohen he shall place upon the head of the one being cleansed, to make atonement for him before Yahuah.
30
And he shall prepare one of the turtledoves or of the young pigeons, from whatever his hand can reach—
31
what his hand can reach: the one as a sin offering and the other as an ascending offering, with the grain offering. And the kohen shall make atonement for the one being cleansed before Yahuah.
32
This is the Torah for the one in whom is a plague of tzara’at, whose hand cannot reach enough for his cleansing.”
33
And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying,
34
“When you come into the land of Kena’an, which I am giving to you as a possession, and I place a plague of tzara’at in a house in the land of your possession,
35
then the one to whom the house belongs shall come and tell the kohen, saying, ‘Something like a plague has appeared to me in the house.’
36
And the kohen shall command that they empty the house before the kohen comes in to see the plague, so that all that is in the house does not become unclean. And afterward the kohen shall come in to see the house.
37
And he shall see the plague, and see: if the plague is in the walls of the house, with greenish or reddish depressions, and their appearance is lower than the wall,
38
then the kohen shall go out from the house to the entrance of the house and shut up the house seven days.
39
And the kohen shall return on the seventh day and see, and see: if the plague has spread in the walls of the house,
40
then the kohen shall command that they remove the stones in which the plague is and cast them outside the city into an unclean place.
41
And he shall cause the house to be scraped within all around, and they shall pour out the dust that they scraped off outside the city into an unclean place.
42
And they shall take other stones and bring them in place of those stones, and he shall take other plaster and plaster the house.
43
And if the plague returns and breaks out in the house after he has removed the stones, and after scraping the house, and after it has been plastered,
44
then the kohen shall come and see, and see: if the plague has spread in the house, it is a malignant tzara’at in the house. It is unclean.
45
And he shall tear down the house, its stones and its timber and all the plaster of the house, and he shall bring them outside the city to an unclean place.
46
And whoever enters the house all the days it is shut up shall be unclean until evening.
47
And whoever lies down in the house shall wash his garments, and whoever eats in the house shall wash his garments.
48
But if coming, the kohen comes in and sees, and see: the plague has not spread in the house after the house was plastered, then the kohen shall declare the house clean, because the plague is healed.
49
And to cleanse the house he shall take two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.
50
And he shall slaughter the one bird in an earthen vessel over living water.
51
And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slaughtered bird and in the living water, and sprinkle the house seven times.
52
And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the living water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet.
53
And he shall send the living bird away outside the city over the face of the field. And he shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.
54
This is the Torah for every plague of tzara’at and for a neteq,
55
and for tzara’at of a garment and of a house,
56
and for a swelling, and for a scab, and for a bright spot,
57
to teach when something is unclean and when something is clean. This is the Torah of tzara’at.
