1
And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh, saying,
2
“Speak to Aharon and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the sons of Yisra’el, and that they do not profane My holy name in those things that they set apart to Me. I am Yahuah.
3
Say to them: Throughout your generations, any ish from all your seed who draws near to the holy things that the sons of Yisra’el set apart to Yahuah while his uncleanness is upon him, that being shall be cut off from before My face. I am Yahuah.
4
Any ish from the seed of Aharon who has tzara’at or a discharge shall not eat from the holy things until he is clean. And whoever touches anything made unclean by a dead being, or an ish from whom seed of copulation goes out,
5
or an ish who touches any swarming thing by which he becomes unclean, or an Adam by whom he becomes unclean, whatever his uncleanness may be,
6
the being who touches any such thing shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat from the holy things unless he washes his flesh in water.
7
And when the sun goes down, he shall be clean, and afterward he may eat from the holy things, for it is his bread.
8
What dies by itself or what is torn by beasts he shall not eat, becoming unclean by it. I am Yahuah.
9
And they shall guard My charge, lest they bear sin because of it and die by it when they profane it. I am Yahuah who sets them apart.
10
And no stranger shall eat a holy thing. A sojourner of a kohen or a hired servant shall not eat a holy thing.
11
But if a kohen acquires a being with his silver, that one may eat from it, and one born in his house may eat from his bread.
12
And if the daughter of a kohen becomes the ishah of a strange ish, she shall not eat from the contribution of the holy things.
13
But if the daughter of a kohen becomes a widow or divorced, and has no seed, and returns to the house of her father as in her youth, she may eat from the bread of her father. But no stranger shall eat from it.
14
And if an ish eats a holy thing unintentionally, then he shall add one-fifth of it to it and give the holy thing to the kohen.
15
And they shall not profane the holy things of the sons of Yisra’el that they lift up to Yahuah,
16
and so cause them to bear the iniquity of guilt when they eat their holy things, for I am Yahuah who sets them apart.”
17
And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh, saying,
18
“Speak to Aharon and to his sons and to all the sons of Yisra’el, and say to them: Any ish from the house of Yisra’el or from the sojourners in Yisra’el who brings near his offering, whether for any of their vows or for any of their willing offerings that they bring near to Yahuah as an ascending offering,
19
for your acceptance it shall be a whole male from the cattle, from the sheep, or from the goats.
20
Whatever has a defect you shall not bring near, for it shall not be accepted for you.
21
And when an ish brings near a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahuah, fulfilling a vow or as a willing offering, from the herd or from the flock, it shall be whole for acceptance; no defect shall be in it.
22
Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a discharge, or an itching disease, or a scab—these you shall not bring near to Yahuah, and you shall not place from them an offering by fire upon the altar to Yahuah.
23
And an ox or a lamb with a limb too long or too short, you may prepare as a willing offering, but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
24
And one bruised, crushed, torn, or cut in its testicles you shall not bring near to Yahuah, and in your land you shall not do this.
25
And from the hand of a foreigner you shall not bring near the bread of your Elohim from any of these, for their corruption is in them; a defect is in them. They shall not be accepted for you.”
26
And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh, saying,
27
“When an ox, or a sheep, or a goat is born, it shall remain seven days under its mother, and from the eighth day and onward it shall be accepted as an offering by fire to Yahuah.
28
And an ox or a sheep—you shall not slaughter it and its young on one day.
29
And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Yahuah, you shall sacrifice it for your acceptance.
30
On that same day it shall be eaten. You shall leave none of it until morning. I am Yahuah.
31
And you shall guard My commandments and do them. I am Yahuah.
32
And you shall not profane My holy name, and I shall be set apart in the midst of the sons of Yisra’el. I am Yahuah who sets you apart,
33
who brought you out from the land of Mitzrayim to be your Elohim. I am Yahuah.
