1
And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh, saying,
2
“Speak to the sons of Yisra’el and say to them: When an ish makes a difficult vow, according to your valuation of beings to Yahuah,
3
then your valuation for a male from twenty years old even to sixty years old shall be fifty sheqels of silver, according to the sheqel of the sanctuary.
4
And if it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty sheqels.
5
And if from five years old even to twenty years old, then your valuation for the male shall be twenty sheqels, and for the female ten sheqels.
6
And if from one month old even to five years old, then your valuation for the male shall be five sheqels of silver, and for the female your valuation shall be three sheqels of silver.
7
And if from sixty years old and above, if it is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen sheqels, and for a female ten sheqels.
8
But if he is too poor for your valuation, then he shall cause himself to stand before the kohen, and the kohen shall value him. According to what the hand of the one who vowed can reach, the kohen shall value him.
9
And if it is a beast from which they bring near an offering to Yahuah, whatever of such a thing one gives to Yahuah shall be holy.
10
He shall not exchange it or substitute it, good for bad or bad for good. And if substituting, he substitutes beast for beast, then both it and its substitute shall be holy.
11
And if it is any unclean beast from which they do not bring near an offering to Yahuah, then he shall cause the beast to stand before the kohen.
12
And the kohen shall value it, whether good or bad. According to your valuation, O kohen, so it shall be.
13
But if redeeming, he redeems it, then he shall add one-fifth to your valuation.
14
And when an ish sets apart his house as holy to Yahuah, then the kohen shall value it, whether good or bad. As the kohen values it, so it shall stand.
15
And if the one who set it apart redeems his house, then he shall add one-fifth of the silver of your valuation to it, and it shall be his.
16
And if an ish sets apart to Yahuah from the field of his possession, then your valuation shall be according to its seed: a chomer of barley seed at fifty sheqels of silver.
17
If from the year of Yovel he sets apart his field, according to your valuation it shall stand.
18
But if after the Yovel he sets apart his field, then the kohen shall calculate for him the silver according to the years that remain until the year of Yovel, and it shall be diminished from your valuation.
19
And if redeeming, the one who set apart the field redeems it, then he shall add one-fifth of the silver of your valuation to it, and it shall be established as his.
20
But if he does not redeem the field, or if he sells the field to another ish, it shall not be redeemed again.
21
And the field, when it goes out in the Yovel, shall be holy to Yahuah, like a field devoted to destruction. Its possession shall belong to the kohen.
22
And if he sets apart to Yahuah a field that he acquired, which is not from the field of his possession,
23
then the kohen shall calculate for him the amount of your valuation until the year of Yovel, and he shall give your valuation on that day as holy to Yahuah.
24
In the year of Yovel the field shall return to the one from whom he acquired it, to the one whose possession of the land it was.
25
And every valuation of yours shall be according to the sheqel of the sanctuary. Twenty gerah shall be the sheqel.
26
Only the firstborn among beasts, which as firstborn belongs to Yahuah, no ish shall set it apart. Whether ox or sheep, it belongs to Yahuah.
27
And if it is from an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to your valuation and add one-fifth to it. And if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.
28
Nevertheless, every devoted thing that an ish devotes to Yahuah from all that belongs to him, whether from Adam or beast or from the field of his possession, shall not be sold and shall not be redeemed. Every devoted thing is most holy to Yahuah.
29
No devoted one who is devoted from Adam shall be redeemed; dying, he shall surely die.
30
And every tenth of the land, from the seed of the land or from the fruit of the tree, belongs to Yahuah. It is holy to Yahuah.
31
And if redeeming, an ish redeems from his tenth, he shall add one-fifth to it.
32
And every tenth of herd or flock, whatever passes beneath the staff, the tenth shall be holy to Yahuah.
33
He shall not examine whether it is good or bad, and he shall not substitute it. And if substituting, he substitutes it, then both it and its substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.”
34
These are the commandments that Yahuah commanded Mosheh for the sons of Yisra’el on Mount Sinai.
