1
Everyone trusting that Yahushua is the Anointed has been born from Elohim, and everyone loving the One who fathered also loves the one born from Him.
2
By this we know that we love the children of Elohim: whenever we love Elohim and carry out His commandments.
3
For this is the love of Elohim: that we guard His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,
4
because everything born from Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcame the world: our faithfulness.
5
And who is the one overcoming the world except the one trusting that Yahushua is the Son of Elohim?
6
This is the one who came through water and blood: Yahushua the Anointed—not by the water only, but by the water and by the blood. And the Ruach is the one testifying, because the Ruach is the truth.
7
For there are three that testify:
8
the Ruach, the water, and the blood, and the three are in agreement.
9
If we receive the testimony of human beings, the testimony of Elohim is greater; for this is the testimony of Elohim, that He has testified concerning His Son.
10
The one trusting in the Son of Elohim has the testimony within himself. The one not trusting Elohim has made Him a liar, because he has not trusted in the testimony that Elohim has testified concerning His Son.
11
And this is the testimony: Elohim gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son.
12
The one having the Son has the life. The one not having the Son of Elohim does not have the life.
13
I wrote these things to you who trust in the Name of the Son of Elohim, so that you may know that you have everlasting life.
14
And this is the boldness we have toward Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15
And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests we asked from Him.
16
If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and He shall give life to him—to those sinning not toward death. There is sin toward death; concerning that I do not say that he should ask.
17
All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not toward death.
18
We know that everyone born from Elohim does not continue in sin; rather, the One born from Elohim keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.
19
We know that we are from Elohim, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
20
And we know that the Son of Elohim has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the True One; and we are in the True One, in His Son Yahushua the Anointed. This is the true Elohim and everlasting life.
21
Children, guard yourselves from idols.
