50:1
And after this law I made known to you the days of the Shabbats in the desert of Sin[ai], which is between Elim and Sinai.
50:2
And I told you of the Shabbats of the land on Mount Sinai, and I told you of the jubilee years in the Shabbats of years:
50:3
but the year of it have I not told you till you enter the land which you are to possess.
50:4
And the land also will keep its Shabbats while they dwell upon it, and they will know the jubilee year.
50:5
Wherefore I have ordained for you the year-weeks and the years and the jubilees: there are forty-nine jubilees from the days of Adam until this day, and one week and two years
50:6
and there are yet forty years to come (lit. "distant") for learning the commandments of Yahuah, until they pass over into the land of Kena’an, crossing the Jordan to the west.
50:7
And the jubilees will pass by, until Yis’rael is cleansed from all guilt of fornication, and uncleanness, and pollution, and sin, and error, and dwells with confidence in all the land, and there will be no more a Satan or any evil one, and the land will be clean from that time for evermore.
50:8
And look the commandment regarding the Shabbats--I have written (them) down for you and all the judgments of its rulings. Six days will you labour, but on the seventh day is the Shabbat of Yahuah your Elohim.
50:9
In it you shall do no manner of work, you and your sons, and your men-servants and your maid-servants, and all your cattle and the sojourner also who is with you. And the man that does any work on it shall die:
50:10
whoever desecrats that day, whoever lies with (his) wife or whoever says he will do something on it, that he will set out on a journey on it in regard to any buying or selling: and whoever draws water on it which he had not prepared for himself on the sixth day, and whoever takes up any burden to carry it out of his tent or out of his house shall die.
50:11
Ye shall do no work whatever on the Shabbat day save that you have prepared for yourselves on the sixth day, so as to eat, and drink, and rest, and keep Shabbat from all work on that day, and to bless Yahuah your Elohim, who has given you a day of festival,
50:12
and a set-apart day: and a day of the set-apart kingdom for all Yis’rael is this day among their days for ever.
50:13
For great is the honour which Yahuah has given to Yis’rael that they should eat and drink and be satisfied on this festival day, and rest on it from all labour which belongs to the labour of the children of men, save burning frankincense and bringing oblations and sacrifices before Yahuah for days and for Shabbats.
50:14
This work alone shall be done on the Shabbat days in the set-apart place of Yahuah your Elohim; that they may atone for Yis’rael with sacrifice continually from day to day for a memorial well-pleasing before Yahuah, and that He may receive them always from day to day according as you hast been commanded.
50:15
And every man who does any work on it, or goes a journey, or tills (his) farm, whether in his house or any other place, and whoever lights a fire, or rids on any beast, or travells by ship on the sea,
50:16
and whoever striks or kills anything, or slaughters a beast or a bird, or whoever catchs an animal or a bird or a fish, or whoever fasts or makes war on the Shabbats:
50:17
The man who does any of these things on the Shabbat shall die, so that the children of Yis’rael shall observe the Shabbats according to the commandments regarding the Shabbats of the land,
50:18
as it is written in the tables, which He gave into my hands that I should write out for you the rulings of the seasons, and the seasons according to the division of their days. Herewith is completed the account of the division of the days. Provenance Ledger Native/original layer Jubilees presents an Ivrit covenantal and calendrical architecture. Substantial Ivrit fragments survive from the Judean Desert, but no complete Ivrit manuscript is extant. Status: IVRIT SUBSTRATE AND FRAGMENTARY DIRECT WITNESS. Complete eastern witness The complete continuous text survives in Geʽez as Maṣḥafa Kufālē. The 1895 Charles critical edition collates four Ethiopic manuscripts and compares the surviving Ivrit, Syriac, Greek, and Latin fragments. Status: COMPLETE GEʽEZ CONTROL WITNESS, critically adjudicated rather than treated as mechanically infallible. Coordinate layer The public-domain Charles English text supplies the continuous comparison body. The expanded Hebrew-aligned digital segmentation supplies 1,758 textual units: one prologue and 1,757 numbered units across 50 chapters. Its Anglicized names, generic divine titles, archaic grammar, editorial conjectures, and early scholarly assumptions do not govern this reconstruction. Relational Geʽez control The AGE parallel Maṣḥafa Kufālē corpus supplies 1,282 aligned Geʽez-English semantic units. Its segmentation differs from the conventional verse grid; alignment count is therefore not substituted for textual completeness. It is used to keep the Geʽez wording, syntax, and category structure visible during reconstruction. Unresolved register Where surviving Ivrit fragments, Geʽez readings, later versions, and the coordinate witness diverge, the edition preserves uncertainty rather than fabricating a lost continuous Ivrit text. Editorial brackets remain evidence markers, not decorative punctuation. KIDAN–B’ERIT decision rule IVRIT + GEʽEZ → ROOT → FUNCTION → RELATION → BEST-PRESERVED FORM → CROSS-LANGUAGE BRIDGE → SEMITIC CORROBORATION → FRESH ENGLISH. Native Ivrit remains Ivrit; genuine Geʽez remains Geʽez; English remains the final gloss.
